The aim is to ensure that effective and respectful services are provided to members of the TGNCNB community. Each module is designed to tackle issues such as bias within practice, the unique challenges TGNCNB people face when accessing services, and what you can do to ensure the needs of your TGNCNB clients are met with respect and understanding.
Articulate the different types of bias and describe how they facilitate the perpetuation of various disparities amongst TGNC/NB communities
Reflect on your own biases and how they might impact your relationships with TGNC/NB clients and/or traumatize your TGNCNB-identified clients
Apply effective strategies to better support the needs of the TGNC/NB community and promote their access to optimal and equitable services
Integrate trauma-informed approaches that affirm members of the TGNC/NB community and contribute to their healing and overall wellness
A best practice is a method or technique that has been generally accepted as superior to any alternatives because it produces results that are superior to those achieved by other means, or because it has become a standard way of doing things, e.g., a standard way of complying with legal or ethical requirements.
